Bianca & Cole’s Intimate Wedding: A Day Built Around What Matters Most

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. This one began at neighboring cubicles, with everyday conversations that slowly became something neither of them wanted to live without.

Bianca and Cole met while working at a logistics company. They belonged to the same group of friends and talked every day. As their friendship grew, they became inseparable. Their first evening hanging out was spent playing video games together—a simple beginning that felt completely natural.

“It was the easiest thing in the world—falling in love with someone you get along so well with,” Bianca shared.

That same ease shaped their wedding: a down-to-earth celebration surrounded by their closest people, with space to enjoy the reason everyone had gathered.

Bianca & Cole’s Intimate Wedding With Personal Meaning

When planning their intimate wedding, Bianca and Cole wanted to keep things simple and incorporate both of their favorite colors. Their choices reflected the life they already loved sharing.

One of the most meaningful details was the music. Throughout the celebration, they included songs from shows they had watched together, including the song for their first dance.

To a guest, a song might be a beautiful accompaniment. To the two people dancing, it can hold evenings spent together, familiar stories, and an entire little world built between them. Their soundtrack carried those memories into the beginning of their marriage.

A Wedding First Look That Became Their Favorite Memory

Before the wedding, Bianca and Cole were most excited about their first look. Afterward, they agreed it had been their favorite part of the day. It gave them time to express their love and devotion without distractions. Before sharing the celebration with everyone else, they had a moment that belonged to the two of them.

For Bianca and Cole, that quiet time together was a dream come true.

If you are considering a wedding first look, their experience offers a lovely question to bring into your planning: where in your day will you make room to be together, without needing anything from anyone else? A wedding timeline can hold more than appointments. It can make space for the moments you most want to remember.

Room to Enjoy the Day

When I asked Bianca what she appreciated most about working with Kim Hearts Photography, she talked about organization—and how it helped them relax. They shared that they did not have to worry about the time. They could enjoy themselves and their company while I let them know when they were needed. That is a meaningful part of wedding photography to me: creating room for you to experience the day while preserving it. The photographs matter, and so does how you feel while we make them. For Bianca and Cole, being able to stay present with each other and their guests was part of what made the celebration feel so right.

An Intimate Celebration With Their Closest People

At the end of the day, Bianca and Cole both wished they could do it all over again. They described the wedding as surreal—the most perfect celebration they could have dreamed of having. Looking back, neither would have changed a thing.

Having their closest friends and family beside them, without the distractions of a large-scale wedding, had been the perfect choice for them.

They also wanted to recognize the people who helped make it possible. A heartfelt thank-you goes to the Pigg and Sauer families for their hard work setting up the wedding. Bianca and Cole shared that the day would not have been possible without their help.

To the friends and family who traveled from out of state: the time, effort, and expense of being there meant the world to them.

Bianca & Cole’s Advice: Plan a Wedding You Both Want to Live

Their advice for other couples is beautifully direct:

“Don't plan an event for people, plan a day for you two to enjoy.”

For them, the focus was the person they had chosen to spend their life with. The size of the venue and the elaborateness of the catering mattered less than creating a celebration that suited both of their personalities. It is a thoughtful starting point for anyone planning an intimate wedding: decide what feels meaningful to you, make room for it, and allow your choices to reflect the life you are building together.

The Memories Still to Come

Now, Bianca and Cole are looking forward to traveling together, laughing every day, and creating new memories.

Their story began with friendship and the easy joy of spending time together. Their wedding carried that feeling forward—with familiar music, their favorite people, and a first look they would happily live all over again. Somewhere between neighboring cubicles and a wedding day, they found a person who made ordinary life feel extraordinary.

And there is so much ordinary, beautiful life ahead.
