Casa Marina Wedding in Jacksonville FL
Jessika & Logan Morris

Some weddings are meticulously planned down to the minute. Some are built on trust, ease, and the quiet confidence of “this will be good no matter what.” Jessika and Logan’s Casa Marina wedding in Jacksonville, Florida was exactly that effortless, heartfelt, and full of the kind of joy you can’t script. Even the rain showed up… and somehow made everything better.

From College Neighbors to Forever
They first met as next-door neighbors during their freshman year at the University of North Florida in 2015. They crossed paths often playing intramural sports, sharing mutual friends, and building a familiarity that quietly laid the foundation for what would come later. It wasn’t until 2020, a year after college, that they officially started dating. And when they did, there wasn’t a single dramatic “aha” moment, just a mutual understanding that this was right.Sometimes love doesn’t arrive loudly.Sometimes it just feels obvious.
A Casa Marina Wedding: Simple, Architectural, and By the Beach
When it came time to plan their wedding day, Jessika and Logan kept things intentionally simple. Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach already offers so much historic architecture, warm interiors, and that unmistakable coastal energy just steps from the ocean. Instead of over-decorating, they let the venue speak for itself.
Their color palette reflected both of them:
Soft purples (Jessika’s favorite)
Light blues (Logan’s pick)
The result was a clean, romantic aesthetic that felt elevated without ever feeling forced — a perfect fit for a Casa Marina wedding.

Meaningful Moments Without Overthinking
Rather than focusing on elaborate details, Jessika and Logan centered their day around how they wanted it to feel.
The location mattered because it felt casual, welcoming, and authentic to them. Being close to the beach sealed the deal — relaxed, romantic, and undeniably Florida.Sometimes less truly is more.

The First Look: Calm Before the Celebration
Without hesitation, the most anticipated moment of the day was their first look.
That quiet pause together helped ground them before everything else unfolded. It gave them space to breathe, connect, and settle into the joy of the day — a moment just for them before stepping into the celebration.
First looks aren’t about breaking tradition. They’re about creating peace.
Rain, Delays, and a Double Rainbow
As with many Florida weddings, the weather tried to keep things interesting.
There was rain. There was a delay. Then after their “I do’s” a double rainbow stretched across the sky. A reminder that sometimes the best moments arrive when you stop trying to control the timeline and simply let the day unfold. Jessika said it best:“There’s no room for complaining when you get lucky with a double rainbow after ‘I do.’”

The Sweetest Moments (Literally)
While the rainbows may have stolen the show, the cake cutting was right up there as a favorite moment joyful, lighthearted, and full of laughter. Because at the end of the day, it’s those small, unscripted moments that linger the longest.

A Word of Thanks
Jessika and Logan made it clear: this day wouldn’t have felt complete without the people who showed up for them. Family & Friends. Especially their day-of coordinator, Taylor Baldasso, who stepped into the role with grace, confidence, and absolute determination and absolutely crushed it. It takes a village. This one showed up.

Advice for Future Couples

Working Together
One of my favorite parts of this day was how fully Jessika and Logan trusted the process. They came in without a rigid vision and were open to being guided, supported, and photographed in a way that felt natural to them.Efficiency, preparation, and the freedom to simply be present made all the difference.
